# Newsletter: Glass Igloo's and Cabins

## Sleep Beneath the Aurora Borealis

*Unique accommodation highlighting the Northern Lights*

Glass igloos and cabins are designed to make the most of the Arctic night sky. From smaller igloos for a night or two to spacious glass cabins for longer stays, they offer a comfortable way to watch for the Northern Lights without leaving your accommodation.

For couples and families alike, these stays are easy to include in a luxury itinerary through the Nordics, north of the Arctic Circle.

## Glass Igloos

* **Designed for the view:** Large glass roofs and windows give guests a clear view of the Arctic night sky.
* **Warm and comfortable:** Depending on the property, igloos come with comfortable beds, private bathrooms and other amenities.
* **Northern Lights from bed:** When conditions are right, guests can watch the aurora without leaving their room.
* **For couples and families:** Smaller igloos work particularly well for couples, while larger options can accommodate families.
* **Perfect for one or two nights:** We often include a glass igloo stay as part of a longer journey through Lapland or Northern Norway, combined with luxury chalets, lodges or hotels.

## Glass Cabins

* **More space for longer stays:** Larger glass cabins and lodges offer more space and amenities, making them well suited for several nights in the same destination.
* **Different styles:** Options range from contemporary cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows to properties inspired by traditional structures and local design.
* **Views from inside:** Large windows keep the surrounding landscape and Arctic sky visible throughout the stay.
* **Luxury and nature:** Many combine the comfort and service of a luxury stay with immediate access to the Arctic outdoors.
* **Northern Lights close by:** When the aurora appears, guests can experience it directly from or just outside their accommodation.

## FAQ: The Northern Lights

* **What are the Northern Lights?** Also known as the Aurora Borealis, they occur when charged particles from the Sun interact with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere, creating colours such as green, pink and purple.
* **Where can you see them?** The highest probability is within the **Aurora Zone**, which covers destinations including Northern Norway, Finnish and Swedish Lapland, Iceland and Greenland.
* **When is the season?** Dark nights make the aurora visible from around **late August until mid-April**, with autumn offering the opportunity to experience it before the winter snow arrives in many destinations.
* **Never guaranteed:** The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. Solar activity, cloud cover and weather conditions all affect visibility. We always do our best to give guests the best possible chances, keeping a close eye on forecasts and arranging private Northern Lights chases when conditions call for it.

* **Day 3 | A Private Meeting with Santa Claus: **A completely private meeting with Santa Claus, designed around the family and children.
* **Day 4 | Snowmobiles & Wilderness Lunch:** Private snowmobile safari through the winter landscape, including lunch in the wilderness.
* **Day 5 | Reindeer & Glass Cabin:** A private reindeer experience away from the crowds, followed by a private transfer to a glass cabin. Spend the final night with an uninterrupted view of the Arctic sky.
